PVD VERSUS ANODISING
PVD plating is the preferred finish for body jewellery (rather than anodising) as it creates a durable, anti-corrosive, scratch resistant surface for a variety of metals, including stainless steel and titanium.
Anodising is still suitable for body jewellery, however, with anodising, the jewellery is dipped in the plating finish rather than heat blasted and this tends to fade faster than PVD.
PVD produces a wide range of colours and finishes, including matte, shiny, and brushed in shades of gold, rose gold, black, rainbow, greens, blues, pinks, purples and many more.
